UDC Swept 9-0 by Shepherd in Men's Tennis

Shepherdstown, WVA:March 12, 2008-- Their first match of the season did not go well for the UDC Firebirds Tennis Team as they were swept, 9-0, by the Shepherd University Rams in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Being two players short, the Firebirds only had four players available for the match.

Singles

1. Azevedo (SU) defeated Arda Kaytan (UDC) 3-6, 7-5, 6-1

2. Roger Torres (SU) defeated Kirk Alexander 6-2, 7-5

3. Casey Moser (SU) defeated Adrian Wyllie (UDC) 6-2,7-5

4. Felipe Oliveira (SU) defeated Daniel Gourdine (UDC) 6-0, 6-1 

Shepherd won the 5 & 6 singles by forfeit

Doubles

1. Azevedo-Moser (SU) defeated Alexander-Kaytan (UDC) 8-0

2. Andy Bosco-Scott Hasenei (SU) defeated Gourdine-Wyllie 8-2
