Sheppard Earns ECC Co-Rookie of the Week and Jarrett Earns Honor Roll

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. - Rainn Sheppard was named this week's ECC co-Rookie of the week and Ayesha Jarrett was named to the Honor Roll.

Sheppard finished sixth in a field of 43 runners at the Hood College Blazer Blitz, crossing the finish line of her first collegiate 3k in 12:35.8. Paced by an average mile of 6:45.4, Sheppard finished as UDC's top runner to lead the Firebirds to a runner-up team finish. 

Jarrett ran a collegiate-best 3k time of 12:40.6 at the Hood College Blazer Blitz to place seventh in a field of 43. The junior averaged a 6:48.0 mile to finish as UDC's second-fastest runner and lead the Firebirds to a runner-up team finish in a field of six programs.
