Dixon and Jarrett Run Personal Bests at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational
ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's cross-country team competed in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational meet on Saturday morning on the Roberts Wesleyan Cross Country Trail.
Kamille Dixon was the top finisher for the Firebirds with a personal-best time of 19:24.6 in the 5k to place 26th amongst a field of 184. Dixon is less than a minute away from breaking the record of 18:38 set by Stella Sang in 2007. She was followed by teammate Ayesha Jarrett who also ran a personal-best time of 21:29.8.
Fanta Sanogo was next up with a time of 26:30.2 and she was followed by Chacoia Wilkes with a time of 26:41.1 to beat her last 5k time by over 10 seconds.
Next up UDC will head to Maryland on Saturday, October 2nd, to compete in the Salisbury XC Invitational.
