Season 1st   

2012: Nelson took part in two five meets of the season, including the East Coast Conference Championships. She recovered from an injury early into the season, to post a time of 23:05 at the ECC 5K.

High School: Rochelle attended and ran Track at Holmwood Technical HS in Kingston Jamaica and was coached by Maurice Wilson. Rochelle ran both the 400m and 200m. 

Personal: Daughter of Rosemarie Arnold and Junior Beckford... has seven brothers: Amilcor, Alex, Kevin, Darryl, Maurice, Frank, and C-Jay...and seven sisters: Yonique, Leslie, Lesly-Ann, Carly, Kalie, Diana, and Shana...has three nicknames: RoRo, Butterfly and Pasha...mass media major with a career goal of one day becoming a television broadcaster... hobbies include doing arts & crafts, hanging out with friends, and listening to music... enjoys swimming, netball, and football... favorite athletes are Bobby-Gaye Wilins, Sonite Sutherland, Moussa, Dembele, Lecen-Golden-Clark... favorite foods are carrots, fish, peanutes, ice cream and fries... favorite movies are The Body Guard, Coach Carter, Akeelah & The Bee, and The Lion King... favorite TV shows are The Cosbys, House of Payne, and Living Single... favorite music artists are G-Wizz, Tupac, and Damian Marley... favorite websites are Google and Facebook... chose UDC for its diverse culture of people and its mass media program... favorite thing about UDC is the new pool... greatest athletic experience is training amongst world class athletes and learning to be focused in track from them... dream as a college athlete is to get as many All-American awards and to graduate with a degree... greatest athletic influence is Mr. Glen Wright... most impressive person she has ever met is Jamaica's Prime Minister.
