Firebirds Win 4x400m Relay at Towson Invitational

TOWSON, MD- the University of the District of Columbia's women's track and field team competed in the Towson Invitational meet, on Friday.

Iyanna Jackson bested her season, 200m time clocking in at 25.41s to place 9th/61 competitiors. Her time was also the fastest DII time of the meet.

Emmanuela Katou Kouami had string showings in both the Hammer Throw and Discus events. In the Hammer she threw 44.46m to place 7th/27 and 6th/28 cometitiors in the Discus with a throw of 40.12m.

The quartet of Ayesha Jarrett, Tukey Francis, Rainn Shepard and Samantha Morrison won the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:05.99.

Up next, UDC will compete in the Norfolk State meet next weekend.
