UDC Women's Track & Field Sweep ECC Weekly Awards

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Iyanna Jackson and Emmanuela Katou Kouami were named the ECC Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Ayesha Jarrett and Rainn Sheppard were also named to the Honor Roll.

Jackson ran a time of 25.44 in her 200m opener to place 10th out of 96 runners at the Alan Connie Shamrock Classic this weekend. That performance tops both the ECC and NCAA East Region. 

Kouami threw 40.05m in the hammer throw to place 22nd out of 61 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She went on to PR in the shot put with a throw of 11.59m to place 11th out of 59. Kouami's hammer throw mark tops both the ECC and NCAA East Region while her shot put tops the ECC and ranks second in the NCAA East Region.

Jarrett clocked in at 59.64 in the 400m to place ninth in a field of 39 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Classic.

Sheppard clocked in at 2:21.04 in the 800m to finish ninth in a field of 26 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Classic.
