Saida Burns-Moore Earns 4th Straight ECC Field Athlete of the Week Honor
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia's Saida Burns-Moore has earned her 4th consecutive East Coast Conference Field Athlete of the Week honor for her performance in Saturday's Hampton Relays Invitational.
Burns-Moore, a freshman from the Bronx, NY and Collegiate Institute of Math & Science (NY), continued her superb rookie season in the High Jump and Triple Jump. First, she finished tied for 2nd of 11 competitors in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.63M, and then she bounded out to a season-best 11.33M to finish 7th among 15 competitors in the Triple Jump.
The freshman standout has been the only ECC Field Athlete of the Week honoree through four weeks this Outdoor season. She also boasts three weekly honors from the Indoor season.
Burns-Moore and the Firebirds will compete this Saturday at the ECC Championships at Roberts Wesleyan.
