UDC Women's Track & Field Opens Season at Liberty Kick-Off

LYNCHBURG,VA- the University of the District of Columbia's women's Indoor track and field team kicked off their season at the Liberty Kick-off.

Field Events

Emmanuela Katou Kouami threw 13.47m in the weight throw to place 11th.

Zoe Shaw placed 4th in the High Jump with a mark of 1.58m.

Track Events

Dayna Thompson and Kayla Cooper clocked in at 26.33s and 26.38s in the 200m.

Ayesha Jarrett and Tukey Francis clocked in at 1:00.83 and 1:01.55 in the 400m 

Rainn Sheppard placed 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:26.62.

Kayleigh Shelton ran a time of 9.33s in the 60m hurdles to place 15th.

The Firebirds will head to Staten Isalnd next Friday to compete in the Seahawk Shootout.
