Rose Wins 60m Hurdles in Season Best

Collegeville, PA- The University of the District of Columbia's women's Indoor Track and Field team competed in the Frank Colden invitational on Saturday, February 8 at Ursinus College.

 

Sophomore sprinter Shanise Rose won the 60m hurdles with a season best time of 9.12s and placed third in the 200m with a time of 26.39s. Freshman Lavondae Douglas placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.82m and seventh in the 200m out of a field of 57 athletes. Senior Shannell Hibbert placed fifth in the 200m with a time of 26.67s.

 

Next up the Firebirds will compete in the VMI Indoor Classic on Friday, February 14.
