Simone Grant Moves Up in USTFCCCA Regional Rankings; 4x400M Relay Team Stays Put at No. 7

NEW ORLEANS – Junior Simone Grant and the Firebrds 4x400M Relay Team were again ranked regionally in the USTFCCCA weekly regional event-by-event listings.

Grant (Health Education – Bronx, NY/Pelham Prep Academy) moved up two spots to No. 5 in the East Region in the 200M with a converted flat track time of 24.89s off of her season-best 25.27s running at this past Sunday's Vince Brown Invitational.

She also earned a No. 8 East Region ranking in the 400M after running a 57.72s converted flat track time (58.48s) this past Sunday as well.

Meanwhile, Grant and teammates Jerily Benjamin, Marlena Wright and Christina Baker stayed put at No. 7 in the 4x400M Relay after not competing in the event on Sunday.

The Firebirds are off this weekend as they rest in preparation to three-peat as East Coast Conference champions in South Huntington, NY on Saturday, February 21st.
