Firebirds 4x400M Relay Team Up One Spot to No. 6 in East Region

NEW ORLEANS - The University of the District of Columbia Women's Indoor Track & Field 4x400M Relay Team moved up a spot to No. 6 in the USTFCCCA East Region ranking with its performance at the NY Armory Invitational on January 30^th.

The Firebirds' team of Jerily Benjamin, Marlena Wright, Christina Baker and Simone Grant ran a season-best time of 3:55.79 on Friday during Day 1 of the NY Armory Invitational. This places them 6^th in the region behind two teams from New Haven and three teams from Southern Connecticut.

UDC is back in action on February 8^th at the Vince Brown Invitational in Newport News, VA.
