WASHINGTON DC - Following a great performance at The Armory Collegiate Challenge last week, the Firebirds will be lacing up their shoes and heading to Landover, MD tomorrow morning, Saturday, January 19th for the University of Maryland Invitational.

"After some good performances last weekend in New York, we're looking to keep that momentum going this weekend at the Maryland Invitational," head coach Alton McKenzie said. "Our aim is to keep getting better every week."

McKenzie said that tomorrow's meet being such a short distance from the District of Columbia is to the team's advantage.

"It's great to compete close to home and enjoy a short trip to a meet," McKenzie said. "The team has continued to work hard and I'm anticipating strong performances all around yet again this week."
