WASHINGTON, DC- the University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team fell to Howard University 1-6, Friday afternoon at the WTEF East Capitol Campus.

Freshman, Polina Zelentsova picked up the Firebirds lone point against the Bison, defeating her opponent in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 at the No.2 position. Zelentsova also teamed up with Celia Bastin at the No.2 doubles position and were just slightly edged out by their opponents 7-6.

UDC (6-4, 3-3 ECC) will head to Baltimore tomorrow to face off against morgan State University.
