Marie and Zelentsova Sweep ECC Weekly Awards

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. - Laura Marie and Polina Zelentsova were named this week's ECC co-Player and Rookie of the Week for their performances against Jefferson University.

Marie went 2-0 on UDC's opening week, picking up the win at No. 1 singles (7-5, 6-1) and No. 2 doubles (6-2) to help lead UDC to a 4-3 win over Jefferson. 

In her debut as a Firebird, Zelentsova battled to an impressive 7-5, 6-3 win against strong opposition at the No. 2 position to help UDC to a 4-3 win over Jefferson.
