Bastin Score Firebirds Lone Point in Loss to Findlay

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team dropped their spring home opener match up against the University of Findlay 1-6, Wednesday afternoon at the UDC Tennis Courts.

The doubles match ups were very close, but Findlay managed to pull away with the point going into singles play.

While the visitors went on to secure their victory with wins at No.4, 1 and 3, Mariona Franco and Claudia Bahamon forced their opponenets into three sets at No.2 and 6, just narrowly losing their matches. Freshman Célia Bastin picked up UDC's lone point defeating her opponenet in two closely contested sets at No.5.

Up Next, UDC (6-5, 3-2 ECC)is back at home on Sunday, facing off against Harford CC at 11:00 am.
