Firebirds Fall to D1 Morgan State
BALTIMORE, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team, fell to D1 program, Morgan State University in what turned out to be an intense match-up. The Firebirds fell to 6-4 overall.
Laura Marie, Sofia Bellucco, Celia Bastin and Claudia Bahamon all pushed their competitors to three sets in singles play. Marie and Bellucco both fell to their opponents in the first sets but fought back to take their second sets before conceding the third. Bastin and Bahamon both took their first sets but fell to their opponenets in the next two.
Bahamon fought to the very last point in the third set but eventually fell 5-7.
Next Up, UDC(5-4, 3-2 ECC) will host Findlay on Wednesday (March 1st) at 11:00 AM.
