Women’s Tennis End Season with 9-0 Defeat

BOYDS, MD – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team lost their final match of the season Wednesday afternoon against No. 43 nationally ranked Goldey Beacom at Tennisplex, Germantown.

The Firebirds end their season (4-8, 4-3 ECC) with a defeat to the nationally ranked opponents. While Goldey Beacom continued their impressive season going 14-1 overall.

UDC was already facing a challenge when they lost two doubles matches and conceded No. 3 doubles through default. With singles following and No. 6 singles already lost through default, the Firebirds were 4-0 down.

Senior Dominika Hadnadova entered her remarkable final career singles match against No. 9 in the East Region Lesscher y Post to fall 6-1, 6-1. And with the match already decided, the District of Columbia carried on their fight but unfortunately fell in all remaining singles matches.
