WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team was defeated by the No. 2 ranked team in the East Region, Concordia College (NY) on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at UDC Tennis Courts. Before the match, the Firebirds honored their two seniors Alicia Gallard and Maxime Duijst.

The Firebirds (7-11) forfeited matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to an insufficient lineup, and the Clippers cruised to victory with wins in the other two doubles and five singles matches. Concordia, the champions of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) earned their 2nd straight victory to improve to 15-4 overall.

UDC will conclude the 2014-15 season at Adelphi on Tuesday, April 14th at 12 p.m.
