WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team hosted their Division I crosstown rival Georgetown on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon in the nation's capital. The Firebirds were defeated by the Hoyas, 9-0.

The Firebirds fell to 4-3 overall this season with the loss as they were swept in all three doubles matches and all six singles matches. They forfeited matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to an insufficient lineup.

Next, UDC will travel to Flushing, NY this weekend to compete in the ITA East Regional Championships.
