Women’s Tennis Falls, 8-1 at Queens

FLUSHING, NY – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team was defeated by East Coast Conference foe Queens, 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Peerada Looareesuwan (Computer Science – Bangkok, Thailand/Valdosta State) earned the Firebirds' lone point of the day with a 6-2, 6-3, 10-8 win over Sumeera Kamil at No. 2 singles. UDC fell to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in league play, while the Knights improved to 4-0 (3-0 ECC).

Next, UDC will host Division I cross town rival Georgetown on Tuesday, September 23rd at 2 p.m.
