UDC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Partner With Hands On DC

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia men's and women's tennis teams participated in the Hands on DC organization's "Mural Madness" facility improvement project at the Walker Jones Education campus on Saturday, March 8th.

Eleven student-athletes as well as head coach Dickie Mahaffey helped the school's farm by tilling the soil, raking and shoveling, painting letters on the playground and painting murals on the early childhood, kindergarten, elementary and middle school wings of the school.

Hands on DC is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that conducts an annual citywide Work-A-Thon to improve schools in the DC Public School system.
