University of the District of Columbia Women's Tennis Falls at Georgetown, 7-0
WASHINGTON, DC - The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team was defeated by Division I Georgetown University, 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon at McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex.
The Firebirds fell to 11-3 overall while the Hoyas improved to 7-4. Georgetown won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and claimed victories in all six singles matches.
UDC, ranked No. 41 in the nation and No. 3 in the East Region, will look to bounce back on Saturday when it hosts West Chester University at UDC Tennis Courts at 1:00 p.m.
