UDC Women’s Tennis Rolls on, Defeating Dowling College 9-0

Oakdale, NY—The UDC Women's Tennis Team maintained their dominating performance by picking up another conference victory against Dowling College. The Firebirds showed little weakness as they won 9-0.

The women's team continued to out perform their competition today in Oakdale, NY. In doubles play, Junior Kristyna Nepivodova and Freshman Maxime Duijst combined to defeat Amber O'Malley and Courtney Deveau, 8-0. Double's pair, Freshman Sofia Leon and Junior Tadai Abilla picked up a win against Alyssa Krolick and Michelle Disanto by winning 8-0.

The women's team showed little mercy in singles play as Senior Maria Vitkina defeated Amber O'Malley 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Jessica Nunez also showed what she was capable of by winning a long battle 2-6, 6-1, 10-7 against Robyn Romanoff.

The Firebirds return to the courts tomorrow when they have another ECC match-up in Brookville, NY against C.W. Post.
