Amber Walls Earns Second Team All-East Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Honor

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia's Amber Walls became the first Firebird women's lacrosse student-athlete to earn All-East Coast Conference as she was announced a Second Team selection on Thursday, May 5th.

The third-year captain senior midfielder was 23rd in the ECC with 28 goals, 6th in draw controls with 58, and 7th in free-position goals with nine. Walls amassed over one-third of her team's goals as she scored multiple times in eight of 14 games, including a school-record seven goals in the season finale vs. Molloy. She also won five or more draw controls in seven of 14 games, including a season-high eight in the season finale vs. Molloy.

Walls, who originally played on UDC's now defunct women's volleyball team, recently capped an outstanding three-year lacrosse career with the startup Firebirds women's lacrosse program. She finished as the 3rd year program's all-time leading scorer with 50 career goals, and she holds school records for points scored in a game (8), goals scored in a game (7), and goals scored in a half (4).
