Daeja Quick Earns 5th East Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week Honor

WEST BABYLON, NY - The University of the District of Columbia's Daeja Quick earned her 5th East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week honor this season for her performance during the week ending February 11th. 

Quick averaged 18.0 points, along with 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for UDC. She collected 12 points in their loss against Bridgeport on Wednesday, before stealing the show on Saturday against Mercy with an impressive 24 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals to help give the Firebirds a 2nd victory in ECC play. 

She is currently 6th overall in the ECC for points per game with 15.4, 9th in the conference for assists with 40, 5th overall for turnovers with 88, and 2nd in the conference for 34 steals. 

Quick and the Firebirds will be looking to end their last home game on a high when they host LIU Post, Wednesday, February 14th.
