UDC Set to Host the 2011 Independent Invitational Women’s Basketball Classic

Washington, DC: February 18, 2011--The University of the District of Columbia will host the UDC 2011 Independent  Schools Invitational Women's Basketball Classic, February 25, 26 and 27.  Six independent schools will participate in the three day Classic, including Central State University (OH), King College (TN), Palm Beach Atlantic University (FL), Urbana University (OH), Washington Adventist University (MD) and the University of the District of Columbia.

This will be an exciting weekend of women's basketball action, featuring competitive NCAA Division II schools. There is no charge for admission to any of the games. Game times are: Friday, February 25-   12 pm-  (Washington Adventist vs. Palm Beach),  2pm - (Urbana vs. Central State), 4pm- ( UDC vs. King); Saturday, February 26- 3pm- ( Central State vs. UDC), 5pm - (Urbana vs. Palm Beach Atlantic), 7pm- (King vs. Washington Adventist); Sunday, February 27- 12 pm- (UDC vs. Urbana) , 2pm- (Central State vs. Washington Adventist) and 4pm- (Palm Beach Atlantic vs. King). 

All games will be played in the UDC Sports Complex (Building 47), located at 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW, which is easily accessible by METRO. The UDC Athletics Visitor's Guide, located on the UDC Athletics Web Site- www.udcfirebirds.com.  , provides information about the Athletics Department, directions to the campus, parking instructions, coaching/staff contacts and other important information.
