In addition to her other activities, she also found time to write for the Trilogy and Free Voices student newspapers, and for the UDC Athletics Web Site (). As result of her important contributions to student activities, she received the Vice President for Student Affairs Award for Student Leadership in 2007.

Ms. Williams was a shooting guard for the women’s basketball team for the past three years and head captain for two.  Her contributions helped the team win the 2008 Independent Schools National Women’s Basketball Tournament this past February, finishing the 2007-08 season with a 21-8 record. Because of her achievements on the basketball court, she was invited to compete in a two week-long basketball tournament in Italy this May.
