Louka Queguiner Named to All-ECC Team

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Louka Queguiner was named to the ECC Men's Tennis All-Conference Team, as was announced by the Conference office this afternoon.

Queguiner went 14-8 in singles and doubles play to help lead the Firebirds to an 11-8 overall record and 3-3 in Conference play. He posted a 4-2 singles record in the ECC and a 3-3 doubles record at No.1.

Queguiner, a 6x ECC Honor Roll and 1x ECC Player of the Week awardee this season, made it to the ITA's Quarterfinal in doubles play along with teammate Oskar Karos back in the Fall. 

Louka and the #3 seeded Firebirds will compete in the ECC Championship Semi-finals tomorrow afternoon at the Queens College Tennis Bubble in Flushing, N.Y. They will take on the #2 seeded St Thomas Aquinas College at noon. 

Friday afternoon's semifinal and Saturday's final will be streamed live on the ECC Network. The broadcasts will mainly focus on the No. 1 flight in both doubles and singles but will switch to other courts when possible throughout the match.

The winner of the ECC Men's Tennis Championship will face off against the winner of the CACC Men's Tennis Championship (April 27/30) next Saturday, May 4. The winner will earn the conference's AQ to the NCAA Tournament.
