Firebirds Win Streak Snapped by Griffins

PHILADELPHIA, PA-the University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team saw their five game win streak come to an end after dropping a tough 3-4 decision to Chestnut Hill College.

After the Griffins won the No.1 doubles match, the duo of Oskar Karos and Mauricio Corty defeated their opponents at No.2, with the winning point depending on the oputcome of the No.3 position. After a tough fight the Griffind edged the Firebirds with a 7-5 victory to take the one point advantage into singles play. 

CHU went on to win the match with wins at No.1, 2 and 3, with the Firebirds winning at No.4, 5 and 6. 

Up next, UDC (10-7, 3-2 ECC) will host St Thomas Aquinas College in their final conference match up of the regular season.
