Firebirds Cruise Past Eagles to Win Second Straight

WASHINGTON, DC- the University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team defeated Post University 6-1, to cruise to their second consecutive win.

The Firebirds clinched the doubles point with back to back wins at No.2 and 1. The Eagles picked up the first singles point at No.5 to even the score at 1-1. 

UDC went on to sweep the next five match ups to claim the victory. Juan Estevez Hernandez, fought his was through three sets at No.4. After winning the first set 6-3, and falling in the second 4-6, he battles back to win the tiebreaker 6-4.

Up next, UDC (5-4, 0-1 ECC) will head to Queens College on Friday for a conference match up. Tip off is set for 1:00 pm.
