Firebirds Celebrate Senior Day with 6-0 Victory over the Trojans
WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team celebrated their senior day with a 6-0 win over Virginia State University, Friday afternoon at the UDC Tennis Courts.
Prior to tip-off the UDC Athletic department and Head Coach Theodore Mahaffey III, celebrated Louis Mangeon, Mauricio Corty and Juan Estevez Hernandez for senior day.
The Firebirds pulled away with the doubles point after winning at No.1 and 2 and went on to sweep all five singles matches played.
Up Next, UDC (5-11, 1-3 ECC) will host St Thomas Aquinas College tomorrow in their regular season finale. Due to weather the match will be played at the Montgomery TennisPlex. with a tip-off time of 3:00 pm.
