UDC Men's Tennis Back in Win Column

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team bested West Chester University 4-3, landing themselves back in the win column for the first time since their Fall season opener. 

The Rams won the first match in doubles play at No.2, but the duo of Louis Mangeon and Mauricio Corty took the next round at No.1. The Firebirds eventually conceded at the No.3 position, giving West Chester the one point advantage going into singles play.

UDC went on to win at the No.1 2 and 5 positions, before West Chester evened the score 3-3 winning at No.3 and 6.

The winning point came at the No.4 spot where Juan Estevez Hernandez dropped the first set to his opponent before going on to win the next two to clinch the point.

Up Next, UDC (2-6, 0-0 ECC) will head to Flushing N.Y. on Friday to open conference play against Queens College. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
