UDC Men's Tennis Falls to Queens College in Conference Opener
FLUSHING, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to conference foe Queens College, Saturday afternoon at the Queens College Tennis Center. The Firebirds fell to 2-7, 0-1 ECC, and the Knights improved to 5-4, 1-0 in league play.
The Firebirds dropped the doubles point, but Maksim Bahdanovich and Mauricio Corty put up a tough fight at No.2 falling 7-6(4) to their opponents.
The Knights went on to sweep the singles points en route to their 7-0 victory over the visiting Firebirds.
Next up, UDC (2-7, 0-1 ECC) will host Daemen College next Saturday on the UDC Tennis courts with a 12:00 pm tip-off time.
