UDC Men’s Tennis Falls, 7-0 vs. Division I George Mason in Regular Season Finale

FAIRFAX, VA – The University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team was defeated, 7-0 by local Division I rival George Mason University on Saturday afternoon.

The Firebirds (6-6) lost all three doubles matches and all six singles matches; however, UDC's junior Rok Bozic was very competitive in his No. 1 singles loss to Jimmy Lange. Bozic won his first set, 7-6 (7-5 in the set tiebreaker), then lost his 2nd set, 7-6 (7-2 in the set tiebreaker), and ultimately fell in the 3rd set 10-point match tiebreaker, 10-5.

UDC, which is 3-2 in league play this season, will be a No. 3 seed in next week's East Coast Conference Tournament. The Firebirds will face off against No. 2 seed, New York Institute of Technology in the semifinals on Friday, April 21st.
