Aleksandar Grabovac Earns ECC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - Senior Aleksandar Grabovac of the University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week for his performance in the week ending Sunday, March 17th.

In the Firebirds' only match of the week versus ECC foe St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, March 12th, Grabovac  (Psychology - Ljubljana, Slovenia/Gimnazija Euro Sola Ljubljana) contributed to two of the five total Firebird wins in a narrow, 5-4 match victory over the Spartans. He earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 singles spot over Antoine Venard, and helped picked up District of Columbia's lone doubles win of the day, teaming with sophomore Simon Andersson to win 8-3 at the No. 1 spot.

Grabovac and the Firebirds will host Division I Marist College on Wednesday, March 20th at 3 p.m.
