Former University of the District of Columbia Men's Tennis Player Honored at SEAS Award Ceremony

WASHINGTON, DC - Former University of the District of Columbia men's tennis player Lalindra Jayatilleke was honored at the UDC School of Engingeering and Applied Sciences award night for academic excellence.

Jayatilleke played two seasons of tennis in 2009 and 2010 where he won a combined 12 matches for the Firebirds and helped transform the team from a 2-11 team in 2009 to a 13-5 team in 2010.

A native of the Fiji Islands, Jayatilleke studies Electrical Engineering at the University of the District of Columbia. His career goal is to be a robotic engineer.
