Tomas Gajdusek Earns East Coast Conference Player of the Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - Junior Tomas Gajdusek of the University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team was named the East Coast Conference player of the week for his performance during the week ending March 4th, 2012.
Gajdusek improved to 6-0 in singles play and 4-0 in doubles play this season ad he earned a 6-1, 6-3 No. 2 singles win and teamed up with Bruno Reich for an 8-2 No. 2 doubles win to help the Firebirds defeat Division I Howard, 6-1 last Thursday.
The Firebirds (6-0) are currently ranked 48th in the ITA/Campbell's Division II national poll released on Feb. 29th, 2012.
