UDC Men’s Tennis Player Tomas Gajdusek Named 2010-2011 East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year

Central Islip, NY - The East Coast Conference (ECC) has announced that University of the District of Columbia Men's Tennis player Tomas Gajdusek (Finance- Prague, Czech Republic) has been named 2010-2011 ECC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  Gajdusek, who is ranked ninth in the East Region with a 13-5 record in singles play and seventh in doubles action (with Bruno Reich), boasts a 3.89 cumulative grade point average as a junior Finance major.

Gajdusek continues to add to his impressive tennis resume and further enhance the UDC Men's Tennis program.  In 2009-2010 Gajdusek was named East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.  In addition to being named ECC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Gajdusek made the 2010-2011 East Coast Conference Men's Tennis All-Conference First Team .

UDC Head Men's Tennis Coach T. Richard Mahaffey, III, spoke of Gajdusek's accomplishments saying, "I am very pleased with Tomas' high level of performance not only on the court, but also in the classroom. He continues to set a tremendous example for the younger players on and off the court."
