Men’s Tennis Player Miguel Uzcategui Named ECC Rookie of the Week

Central Islip, NY: March 21, 2011—UDC freshman tennis player Miguel Uzcategui (Engineering-Valencia, Venezuela) was named the men's tennis "Rookie of the Week" by the East Coast Conference (ECC) for the week of March 21.  Uzcategui was a perfect 3-0 in both singles and doubles action this week in UDC's action against Mount Saint Mary's, Philadelphia, and Chestnut Hill. In his match against Philadelphia's Manoli Sgourgos, Uzcategui came back from losing the first set to win the match 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
