Firebirds Fall to Greyhounds 6-1

TOWSON, MD: MARCH 21, 2007—The Loyola College Greyhounds defeated the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds 6-1 in tennis action this afternoon at Towson University. The one bright spot for the Firebirds came in singles play when sophomore Arda Kaytan (Istanbul, Turkey) defeated Scott Gannon 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, which was a great match against a NCAA Division I opponent. The Firebirds, now 1-4 for the spring 2007 season, will return to action on March 23, in the North/South Duels in Wilson, North Carolina against the Barton College Bulldogs.
