Axel Gamez Named to the Division II United Soccer Coaches East-Region Team

Axel Gamez was named to the United Soccer Coaches East Region team (Second-Team), as was announced by the organization.

Gamez earned First-Team All-Conference honors. He played in 16 games for the Firebirds ands started in 12. He scored nine goals during the regular season and had 18 points. He had a game-high two goals in games against Daemen and Staten Island and finished in the top four scorers in the conference.

Gamez was a major part of the Firebirds post season success scoring two goals against Roberts Wesleyan in the quarterfinals. He went on to score the Firebirds only goal in regulation and a penalty to help the Firebirds to the ECC Championship game. 

Gamez was also named to the D2CCA All-Region Team earlier this month.
