Isaiah Daniel Named ECC Rookie of the Week

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Isaiah Daniel was named this week's ECC Rookie of the Week for his performance against Queens College. Santiago Gordillo Martinez and Sergio Becerra were also named to this week's honor roll. 

Daniel headed in the equalizer (24') in UDC's 2-1 victory over regionally-ranked Queens to give the Firebirds their second ECC win of the season.

Becerra made five saves in UDC's 2-1 win over Queens. His only goal allowed on the day was a penalty earlier in the first half, after which he held the Knights scoreless for the remainder of the match. 

Gordillo Martinez assisted on the equalizer and scored the match-winning goal in the Firebirds' 2-1 victory over regionally-ranked Queens to move up to third place in conference standings.
