UDC Unable to Find Equalizer in Conference Match Up Against Molloy University

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's soccer team found themselves on the latter part of a 2-1 outcome match up against Molloy University, Wednesday night at the RVC complex.

Axel Gamez scored his first collegiate goal, and what turned out to be the Firebirds lone goal of the night, in the second minute of play. Diego Meza-Baez also picked up his first assist on the season aiding in Gamez's goal. 

Both teams matched up pretty evenly, but the Firebirds had the edge on shots 7-5, and corner kicks 5-1. Molloy's offense found the back of the net in the 18th minute after Gio Fabiano scored a goal on a throw in to even the score 1-1.

In the 60th minute, Fabiano was able to find the back of the net once again, which turned out to be the game winning goal that sealed the fate of the Firebirds, as they were unable to answer. 

UDC (4-4-1, 0-2 ECC) is back hom eon Saturday, and will host D'Youville at the Maryland SoccerPlex Stadium at 1:00 PM.
