Season: 4th

2012: Played in 13 games and made 8 starts... scored 2 goals and tallied 4 points on the season... had 9 shots of which 6 were on goal to give him a SOG% of .66. 

2011: Played in 15 games and made 13 starts...registered four points on one goal and two assists...took eight shots and put five on net for a SOG% of .625...scored game-winner in 2-1 victory over Felician (9/4) and assisted on the other Firebirds goal...assisted game-winning goal in 1-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom (9/2).

2010: Appeared in all 18 games and started in 16...tied for 2nd on the team in points with 11...tied for the team-high of five goals and also added one assist...took 22 shots and put 10 on goal...was 1-for-1 on penalty kick attempts...scored both of UDC's goals in a 2-2 tie with West Va. Wesleyan (9/5)...scored one goal apiece against Chestnut Hill, Mercyhurst and Lincoln.

2009: Played and started in 13 games...assisted on one goal in UDC's 10-0 walloping of Salem (11/1)...took four shots and put one on goal.

High School: Banegas is a 2009 graduate of Urbana High School where he was named All-County his final three seasons and 2nd Team All-State for two seasons...He participated in soccer and track.

Personal:Son of Mario and Elsa Banegas...has two brothers, Samuel and Gabriel and one sister Kenia...Political Science Major...career goal is to become a politician or play soccer professionally...hobby are hanging out with girlfriend/friends, playing soccer, and playing video games...other sports he enjoys watching/playing are basketball, tennis, and swimming...favorite athletes are Carlos Pavon and Cristiano Ronaldo...favorite food is cajun chicken alfredo fettuccini pasta...favorite movies are The Dark Knight, 1984, and Goal (1-3)...favorite TV show is The Office...favorite musician is Fernel Monroy...chose UDC to help team become a national contender in soccer...also recruited by Campbell University(NC)...favorite thing about UDC is the soccer program and the consistent effort to make the university better...greatest athletic experience was sophomore year when he became captain of the soccer team and led the team with 5 goals and 4 assists...dream as a college athlete is to advance deep into the national tournament...greatest athletic influences are his father and God and the most impressive person he's met is his father...habit on game day is to pray before the game.
