Shepherd Sweeps UDC, 2-0, in Soccer

Washington, DC: September 27, 2008—The UDC Firebirds Soccer Team could not get on track tonight and fell to the Shepherd University Rams, 2-0, at Wilson Stadium in Washington, DC. Although UDC took more shots (22 to 11) than Shepherd, their shots were too wide, or high, or stopped by Shepherd goal keeper Wagner DaCosta.

Shepherd’s first goal came two minutes into the match when Jeffers Frazier kicked the ball into the net with an assist from Bobby Doyle. Their second goal was scored in the 24th minute when Gregory Khan took a feed from Jeffers Frazier and booted the ball into the net.

With this win, Shepherd increased their wins to 4-2-0, while UDC dropped to 1-6-0 for the season. UDC will be back into action on Sunday, September 28, against Dowling College at home.
