Shippensburg Downs UDC 6-1

Shippensburg, PA: October 18, 2007—The Shippensburg University Red Raiders downed the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, 6-1, in soccer this afternoon in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Sophomore defender David Agbaza scored the lone UDC goal in the 34th minute, on an assist from junior midfielder Gueswende Kyemtore.

The first Raiders’ goals were scored by Geoff Bloes on an assist from Adrian Sgrillo, in the 21st minute. Their second goal came in the 33rd minute when Miles Harriger scored with assists from Sgrillo and Jason Miller.

The Raider third goal was scored by Austin Alfonsi with an assist by Brad Jaindl in the 50th minute, and goal four came in the 60th minute from Alex Terrell on an assist from Geoff Bloes.

R. J. Pursell scored the Raider’s 5th goal in the 72nd minute on an assist from Jason Miller, and their final goal was scored by Brad Jaindl in the 87th minute on an assist from Geoff Bloes.

The 2-8-1 Firebirds will return to action on Wednesday, October 24, at 3 p.m., when they host the Wilmington College Wildcats at Trinity University’s Soccer Field.
