UDC Men's Lacrosse Spring Schedule Released
WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's men's lacrosse spring schedule has been released. The Firebirds will open their season on February 18th, at Caldwell University in New Jersey.
The Firebirds schedule consists of five home games and five away games, the bulk of which will be played in March and April. After their season opener in February, the team will take a a two week hiatus before heading back to Jersey on March 4th to face off against CACC member Georgian Court University. They close out the month with a three game home stint on the 11th, 18th and 25th. The game on the 25th will be their conference opener as they host Frostburg State.
The month of April consists of all conference games, in which the first two weeks they will travel to upstate N.Y. to take on Roberts Wesleyan and D'Youville. The third week they will host nationally ranked and preseason favorites Mercy College, before heading back to N.Y to take on Molloy University the following week.
UDC ends the season at home on April 29th,welcoming St Thomas Aquinas College.
Home games will be played at Georgetown Day this year, as the turf field project is still under construction.
The Firebirds were voted to finish 6th in the coaches preseason poll after going 3-7, 2-4 ECC, last year.
