High School: Matt attended Meade High School in Fort Meade, Maryland....acted as captain of the lacrosse team his sophomore and senior year...received the Coaches Award his sophomore year...also ran indoor track and field. 

Personal: Son of Prince E. Hawkins and Deirdre G. Hawkins...has eight siblings, Hurley, Kendra, Lameo, Kane, Daniel, Kareem,Tina and Marlana...His career goal is to one day work for NASA or Northrop Grumman and also get his Master's degree in Engineering...hobbies include, coaching kids in basketball, lacrosse, soccer and building with Legos...other sports he enjoys watching includes, football, soccer and basketball...his favorite athletes include, Kyle Harrison, Kyle Hartzell, Joel White, Michael Jordan and Javon Miller...favorite movie is Madagascar...Favorite TV Show is Sportscenter....chose UDC to play lacrosse, become an engineer and he has always loved D.C...greatest athletic experience was going to NEC Championship with Mount St. Mary's in 2012...his dream as a college athlete is to play every game and improve everyday while helping his team and teammates..greatest influence is Javon Miller....most impressive person he's ever met is Mark Dixon.
