Firebirds Secure 5th Seed in ECC Tournament with Regular Season Finale Victory Over Lions

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- the University of the District of Columbia's men's basketball team closed the regular season with a road victory over Molloy University to secure the 5th seed in the upcoming ECC Basketball Tournament.

Hartnel Haye posted a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Eric Morgan Jr led all scoreres with 21 points shooting 42.8% from the field, Tevin Curtis had 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Micah Campbell rounded out double-digit scoring for the Firebirds with 11 points, four rebounds and two blocks. 

UDC shot 46.9% from the field while holding the Lions to 34.7%. The Firebirds dominated with points in the paint 32-24, and had the slight edge in rebounds 45-44. 

UDC will head to Rochester, N.Y. next Wednesday to face off against the #4 seeded Roberts Wesleyan University. More details to follow.
