UDC Men's Basketball Outscored by STAC 113-73

SPARKHILL N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's basketball team fell to St Thomas Aquinas College 113-73, Wednesday evening at the Aquinas Hall.

Three Firebirds registered double-figure scoring with Jahmir Marable-Williams leading the way with a team-high 15 points. He also had a team-high six assists and three steals. Hartnel Haye was just shy of another double-double posting 14 points and nine rebounds. Deonte Hicks came off the bench to contribute 13 points going 5-7 from the field. 

While the Firebirds shot at 50% from the field the Spartan's defense clamped down on UDC forcing 17 turnovers and capitalizing with 31 points off those turnovers. STAC also had 64 points in the paint compared to the Firebirds 30. 

UDC (8-19, 7-10 ECC) will host Mercy in their last regular-season game on Saturday in the second round of a doubleheader. Tip-off time is set for 3:00 pm and the game will be live-streamed on the ECC network. Spectators will be allowed entry upon showing proof of vaccination.
